Ragged Perfection

I would not take any swath of velvet, pristine turf for the ragged perfection of this–  this clover-frosted yard and this boy, crouched all knees and elbows to pick the blossoms. And that secret moment to capture it, and this morning after rain, to see it again.

I never thought clover was a weed but to describe a lawn as “clover frosted” is perfect! Who wouldn’t want the option of clover chains from the lawn?! Lovely photograph, dearheart.

Aaah, what a sweet photo of that little boy. I’m all for daisies and clover growing in our lawn. I loke to think they add a romanitc air to the garden. Let’s not tell anyone they’re weeds, shall we?!
